Stanfordians chosen to represent Limpopo

Stanford Lake College is proud to announce a number of pupils have been chosen to represent Limpopo in a variety of sports. Xilombe Ndlopfu (Grade 11) was selected for the U/18 Limpopo Academy Rugby team. On the netball front, two Matric pupils, Anja Maree and Masase Mbedzi, were selected to play for the U/18B side whilst Nanaki Kgopong was chosen for the U/15A side. Ruben le Roux (Grade 10) has been chosen to represent the Limpopo Province at the SANESA National Championships to be held on 6 - 9 October 2021 at Kyalami Park Club, with three of his horses; TI Quinta, Thembinkosi and Capital Clooney.


A total of 18 pupils have also been chosen to represent the province in hockey. Amu Chauke (Grade 8), Campbell McLean (Grade 8) and Parth Patel (Grade 9) were selected for the U/14A Boys, whilst Basani Msimeke, Buhle Mukwanazi, Nsovo Mabila, Fia Niemann (reserve) and Carmen Veldsman (reserve) (all Grade 8 pupils), were chosen for the U/14A Girls. Five boys were also chosen for the U/16A side; Marc Day (Grade 10), Kgedi Manthata (Grade 9), Relotilwe Sekhula (Grade 9), Travis Sithole (Grade 10) and Kian Noné (Grade 10). Chosen for the U/16A girls were Nanaki Kgopong (Grade 9), Maki Inama (Grade 10) and Layla de Bruyn (Grade 10, reserve). Devon Coad (Grade 11) and Jason Freestone (Grade 12) were chosen for the U/18A side. Mr Adin Bennett has been selected to coach the U/18A Girls.
